EX

The EX series covers the first English sets after the Wizards of the Coast era, from EX Ruby & Sapphire in 2003 to Power Keepers in 2007. It introduced Pokémon-ex worth two Prize cards, Gold Star (☆) Pokémon from late 2004 and Delta Species cards with unexpected types. Gold Stars such as Charizard ☆ from Dragon Frontiers are the chase cards, since roughly one turned up in every two booster boxes.
