Original

The Original series gathers Japan’s first four expansions, from the October 1996 Expansion Pack to Rocket Gang in November 1997. These Japanese releases, including Pokémon Jungle and Mystery of the Fossils, carry the early Pocket Monsters Card Game back, and Rocket Gang introduced Dark Pokémon. Expansion Pack cards without rarity symbols, believed to be the first print run, are the chase cards, especially holos such as Venusaur and Charizard.
