Magic: The Gathering’s 2000 releases include Nemesis and Prophecy, closing the Masques block, and Invasion, which introduced kicker and split cards. Chase cards include Prophecy’s Rhystic Study, a common, Invasion’s Phyrexian Altar and Nemesis’ Parallax Wave, whose foil copies carry a steep premium. Rhystic Study and Phyrexian Altar are widely played in Commander, so reprints and Commander demand move their value.
